On a side note…I can certainly bring 2 large boxes of MR and MRC magazines (most in binders so heavy) which was gratefully shared on LSC, however I think I’m done with them as I found enough to keep me busy for quite sometime.

And I got my gas tank filled today, woo hoo!
No problem getting filled up this afternoon. Paid about $.15/gal more than last tank, but still under $3. Arvy is on the street in front of the house for loading in the morning. ETA at the Lancaster KOA is about 2-3PM. We’ll get set up and then see what’s up with y’all.

Got a few from Saturday.
According to some, this has been termed the new East Coast Large Scale train show. First thing this morning was a “mini” Drag & Brag. Cliff Jennings and Dave Marconi showed off some of their modeling skills while I scoured the house trying to find tables to set all this up. There were pictures taken of this, but I didn’t get any.
Tried something new this year. A yardmaster in Delores Yard. I found from previous sessions , that the yard can get very confusing when a train from Porter arrives and one from Delores is getting ready to leave. I printed out a switch list for Delores Yard and Bruce agreed to give the yardmaster a try.

Cliff finally has enough and heads over to Delores Yard to give Bruce a hand.
There were the usual “glitches”, but no one seemed to complain. We only had 3 trains run, but most of us were just happy to be back together and and getting involved in this again. If this is the new normal, I’m more then ready for it. All in all, a very successful day!
More fun is store for today.

I took on the yardmaster duties and had a great time. I will definitely do THAT again.

We also had some interesting “people” attend… Here’s Rooster, “Jane-ah” (that is NOT the right spelling, but it’s what it sounds like), and Rooster’s Dad, good ol’ whats-his-name?
Sure, we didn’t run all THAT many trains, but it was great seeing every one again.

Thank you Ken, for kindly posting pictures of your generous opportunity for others to Operate your great railroad. Those of us unable to travel due to the virus and aging, depend on your friendship and generosity, in order to take part in some small way, and are often forgotten by those more fortunate. Sharing as you do, is in the spirit, of which LSC is built, and good friendships are shared. And yes…what the ECLSTS for many of us, once was.

Yes As an attendee I add my thanks for Ken and Bev for hosting this gathering of friends. A much needed day of relaxation and train content. I have to agree with others that this would definitely be a pleasurable morph of the ECLSTS. We can only hope that Ken and Bev continue host this gathering Great pics gents thanks for posting. I’ll have to run that one by the CFO, since she definitely does more in the background to get this going than I do. But another one, maybe in August, wouldn’t hurt my feelings either.
Sunday was more laid back. We ran 4 trains, then broke for lunch.
Bruce pulled double duty this weekend. Yardmaster yesterday, then coaching Cliff on the finer points of operations. Here they are puzzling out Delores.
Meanwhile Jon and Ric are working Mancos.
Andy found a shady spot nearby to sit and bark orders.

Andy and Jane left for Maryland to visit their son, Bruce and jean left to find a garden center. Cliff left with a car load of the local agricultural specialty, mushrooms.
After lunch we ran the sweeper trains, put everything away, made sure everything was cleaned up, sat in the shade, and just had a real good time till it was time for dinner.
As far as switches were concerned Rick, I had to rebuild one, and replace a frog in another, all while dodging cars and engines.
