KMRR gets a mine

After getting a nice morning hike in I got motivated to start working on a mine. I got my last 3 ft section a straight track. This completed my siding out to the mine. The mine went very fast to build. Took a few hours to complete. Now I have to make some nice tip cars that will rust nice when left outside and hang two lanterns outside the mine entrance. . Here are some pictures.

Nice timber work Shawn

That should work. I hope they strike the “mother load”.

It is going to be a mine that we have localy called the Sterling hill mine. It actually is the “Fluorescent Mineral Capital of the World,” Here is a site about it and the mine tours

I have to make a trip there and get some of the rock. Good feild trip

looks good, shawn…

That looks nice. Your landscaping is very well done.

All it needs is a couple of HLW ore cars, nice!

Looks nice! How did you get the ground cover to grow so fast?

Cool! I like the timbers.

Thanks everyone, I water my layout every night. Sure made a difference helping everything grow fast.

Very cool mine. Very nice addition to your railroad empire.
