Kit for sale

An 1880 Carter Combine/Caboose laser cut wood kit by Bronson–Tate Architectural Models.
(out of business for years now)

Carter was the West Coast leader in producing narrow gauge cars in that 1880–1910 era. Located in Newark, CA they produced cars for numerous Western narrow gauge lines.

This kit has been on my shelf since I bought it new in 2006 it includes everything for the build
EXCEPT trucks, wheel sets and couplers.

I have 2 of these kits running on my RR, the coach and the other combine plus 3 other combines. So, I don’t need another Combine plus the fact that I will probably never get around to building it.

So offering it for sale for what I paid plus shipping. Keep in mind these kits were not inexpensive even back in the day. If interested message me and we can talk.

Pictures.

Before I message for price, I need to have an idea of scale. Is it in the 1:29 to 1:32 range, or more like the 1:22.5 to 1:20.3 size? Thanks

Sorry I should have stated it is a 1:20 scale kit.

Rick, if this kit is still available could you message me info? New on the site and not sure I can send messages yet, Thank you.

Welcome to the site, hope you stick around and share your work.

Kit Sold, thanks for the enquires.

I’m glad you sold it. I was tempted to add it to my collection of un-built car kits! I still have 5 of Bob’s EBT Boxcars and two or three of what Andre Scoffield was peddling many moons ago. Maybe once I have the new place settled I can actually start building some!

You got no time for that! You keep getting up and going to work every morning since you moved!

Even before that. We started packing in March. I haven’t slowed down since.
