KISS throw mechanism for powered frogs

I adjusted the throw distance on the manually operated turnouts to match the throw of a … SPDT toggle switch.

Sample turnout.

The Why, the How and the Rest is covered here

In my opinion as simple as it gets, the typical European covers between the rails are optional. Reminds me, I need to order a bunch of those, too.

Interesting and simple HJ, it is well within my modeling capabilities I guess.

At present, I can still bend over, without getting giddy, to change switches manually but I do think ahead and your project, plus the OVGRS system will, hopefully, be brought to mind if I have to make an easy switch changing system in the future.

I notice, in your posts, the elevated track you are installing. I am sure your engineers would like to know, if they do not already, about this item on BBC today. Sorry about the partial derail but it is fresh water this time not sea water. lol
