Boiled Linseed Oil works good as a sealer and it gives it a sort of creosote look, …dark brown.
That was recommended to a friend of mine by Lone Star Bridge and Abutment.
Trial run on hardware using bike spokes…Think some changes need to be made…

Either that or a V shaped block of wood to fit over point.
Love the bike spoke idea. This is a great build. I am venturing to the shop tonight (i cleaned it yesterday) to work on my trestle and practice with my new pin nailer before tomorrows starting gun. All the wood is cut just needs to assembled.
Your bridge is inspirational.
