Killers of the Flower Moon… a road train

Killers of the Flower Moon is a book by David Grann that explores the murders of Osage Native Americans in the 1920s, a series of crimes linked to the valuable oil reserves beneath their land. The story uncovers a web of corruption, conspiracy, and the birth of the FBI.

It’s been made into a movie and it’s playing on Netflix and they’ve used a real train for the movie! Interestingly it travelled by road to the movie location site.

Watched the series on PBS last year, very good series to watch.

Bill, thanks very much for that. I didn’t know the V&T’s Robert Gray was involved until seeing this vid and the one that came up after.

I’ve ridden behind that loco a few times, out of Virginia City or Eastgate Station (where this was shot). Very cool to see all the details!!!

Thanks again Bill. Here’s the longer version.

I just sent it round to a few main V&T aficionados… they were probably involved in the project! But your post was the first I’ve seen on it.
