Kids: RC Helicopters

Thought I’d do this here to preserve the integrity of the other thread.

Jumped over to Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/S107-Co-Axial-Gyroscope-Controlled-Helicopter/dp/8499000606/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1287438326&sr=1-1

opinions on that one? Cheap, but seems to have a Very Good Rating.

He has mentioned a Chinook before, so here is one of those:

so there you go, let us talk toys!

For a 7 YO, those are probably a good beginner RC chopper…

I posted this link on the other thread…

And the price has come down since I bought my two!

bought the Chinook…it is MUch bigger than I had expected…which will prevent an inside flight, and you can actually see it while airborne. I’ll report back in about a week! Merry Christmas! cale http://www.amazon.com/S022-Chinook-Channel-Control-Helicopter/dp/B002IZMIL4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Ya might wanna ask Bart for a cheap spare parts supplier…

We bought a chopper for our youngest son(37) at the mall from a kiosk. Flexible blade attachment, so they won’t break so easily and a gyro. Guy made it look easy, son said he flew it with no problems all over the house. Just two control sticks, charge the chopper on the computer with a USB hookup.

Ya know what sucks, my wife Kathy has the coordination to fly these and I don’t.

We ended up not getting our own after flying Greg’s as with our cats it would probably have a service life of about eleven seconds.

One of the nephews in in Army doing maintenance on Chinooks.
Which begs the question, HOW did he get old enough to do that?

Test flight in wet snow and heavy winds…pretty good purchase I believe…it works really well…now to figure out how to fly it. My mom gifted him a little RC chopper, figure it can work him into the S-Hook…oh the joys of Parenting

did I mention the boys also got 2-1/24 scale Leopard II airsoft RC tanks…

Ohhh yeah Cale we gots tanks too…wait til ya deceide you want to move up to a 4 channel bird…loads of fun…I got a BLADE 120 SR for Christmas, the weather has been crappy and I don;t get home til after dark this time of yer so I’ve only got couple of flights on it, but its great!
