Oddly I didn’t get many pictures at Rics…I got started on the ROW gang driving poles in…then got promoted to Track maintenance spreading ballast and sweeping up acorns (and killing the leaf vac) then the next day I got promoted to Dispatcher and fer a short time Acting Southern YArdmaster! Who says ya can’t work yer way up! I’m actually pleased Ric trusts me enough to give me stuff to do on his railroad! Thats a High Compliment to me!
Besides the presence of the Kaskakia Valley RR, there is another minor attraction in the Carlyle area…a small body of water …how it got here in the middle of nowhere is anyone’s guess.

The grumpy old guy who guards his domain at Consolidated Yard was back this year and he sure looked a lot better than he did at this time last year. Welcome back, Andy, you were missed (well, maybe not… ).

To echo Bruce’s comments, this was also my 3rd time here and each time it gets better. Thanx to Ric and Jan and Andy and Jane for putting up with us…
nice pics Ken. Thanks
Glad the weather was nice and good to hear everyone had great time. Pictures look great. Both layouts look awsome.
In cleaning up after the Ops, I found parts. One piece is a ladder off a modern diesel painted silver. I’d think one of the Santa Fe “Covered Wagons”, so guys check your gear. I’ll put it into my tool box and it will travel to the shows with me.
Didn’t find any of Bart’s pieces this time, but he kept things pretty safe.
heheheheh Third times the charm!
Good stuff guys!
Bart needs to recharge his cloaking device as I believe it’s failing!
Did you find any broken off paper clips Ric?
I was deliberately trying to be in as many photo ops as possible this time…

Andy, the red brick building on your layout, really like it, did you make it? If not where did you get it, history about it?

Tom, the 2-story building is actually 2 of the Piko’s ““Brewery”” kits… I just put it togther a different way, to make a 2-story factory… I had 4 sides left from the 2 kits… I make the base from Acrylic for the foundation, and used an acrylic piece for the roof… section joints are beefed up on the inside…
Wind grabbed it last year, and tumbled it across the backyard… broke the base some… I plan on rebuilding the base with a cement board base…

I blame Bart–the magnetic field generated by his planet-sized locomotives was enough to throw off the whole time-space continuum!
