Kalmbach Subscriptions a Question

So I received an email about subscribing to one of Kalmbach’s publications, Classic Toy Trains, Garden Railways, etc. In looking at the Garden Railways subscription page, it appears that the only way we in the states can subscribe would be the $84.00 option. While the next choice is &66.95. Both a three year subscription. Here’s a link to the page. maybe someone with more insight than I will understand it.

I have received many e-mails from Kalmbach, covering the four magazines that I choose to receive mail about. There have been some good discounts but living in the UK that is offset by shipping costs. However, I do prefer to by Classic Trains from my local newstand and I did get Garden Railways in a similar manner until three years ago.

However, I do find their bookshop - presently offering some discounts - a useful place.

Dan,

$84.00 Option = “GARDEN RAILWAYS ALL ACCESS Get home delivery and access to the digital edition.”

$66.95 Option = “GARDEN RAILWAYS PRINT Get the convenience of home delivery.”

Adam

I’m just doing the $25 single-year print option, as always. Do you not see that check box?

Santa renews my subscriptions each year, I figger he’s thinking any year now I’ll out grow it! Does he not see the 3 year savings?

Maybe Santa figures that it would cost more in the long run. Say Santa gives you a 3-year renewal and saves a few dollars along the way. But now he has to get you gifts for the next two years also because the 3-year renewal was just one gift. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Buying subscriptions too far out may not be the best choice. A few yeas ago they informally polled the advertisers about combining GR with Model Railroad as readership and number of advertisers was critically declining. This still may be an option crediting any remaining subscriptions to Model Railroad.
