Kalmbach confirms registrations I didn't make.

How this is interesting, on the email address I used for my Garden Railways subscription, and have note renewed, this morning there were 3 Kalmbach confirmations for registrations I didn’t make.

Including 2 things I do not even do.

At all.

I was/am registered for Garden Railways website.

Have a subscription to Trains, but my Dad gets it for me along with his.

I dodn’t do these registrations.

So what kind of scam are the new owners pulling here?

Printed the emails off on paper and will mail them this comming week in a registered letter along with a WTF??? Question.

Yeah I saw those in my spam mail file. I tried to delete one and it took me to my Classic Trains page. So I ignored the rest and left them in the potential spam folder.

I got similar emails. Just deleted them. If I continue to get them, I will contact Kalmbach.

I’ve gotten them too. Though, Gmail didnt know enough to mark them spam.

EDIT: I dont have any subscriptions to any online publications currently. So, Im not sure where they’re getting my email.

Computer glitch?

I think this may be an attempt by Kalmback’s new subscription service to garner new business. the link only takes you to the specific magazines home page, trying to get you to subscribe.

After the hassle I went thru to get my last issue am not renewing to GR.

Al P.

Me too, and if you click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, it takes you to an unsubscribe page, and when you enter your email to unsubscribe, it says I am not subscribed to any email newsletters.

That is just strange and I find it quite unwelcomed

Jerry

So, it’s not “just me”. Once again, somebody, somewhere decides this is a “great idea” Wow. Big turn off, but I suspect somebody got a thumbs up for this!

Had peen considering renewing the Garden Railways subscription, my decision was affected by this,

And my decision is NO.

Really?

I still get Classic Trains and I really don’t care they attempted to tempt me with another publication … ain’t gonna happen, any more than thousands of post card sized inserts have influenced me, over the years.

I’ve been tossing them for years too, at least there’s less waste by bytes.

If you like the mag, get it.

I got the same spam, too. Helped me to decide not to ship over.

I got another email from Kalmbach this morning apologizing and stating the emails were sent in error.

Did they send one for … (https://opimedia.azureedge.net/Image/men/men_logo.png)

I just got a email from them stating it was a error on their part and that they were fixing it, that’s what happens when you put computers in control

Computers make mistakes because the people programming them make mistakes. We all make mistakes. If the people were put back in control with no more computer help, the people would make mistakes all by themselves.

A more cynical person might argue that Kalmbach made a “mistake” on purpose just to see what would stick to the wall. Who knows?

On the other hand, I am pretty sure Oswald acted alone and Jack Ruby was a nut who through happenstance got the chance to prove it…unless…unless…nah.

Well either way, I don’t have the spare time to sit and read magazines like I used to. When I read model information is online, like here on LSC. So I haven’t renewed my GR subscription, nor any of my subscriptions. My mail box is happier not being stuffed to the breaking point.

Do you mean like the mistake they made in sending out unrequested DVDs then asking people to send them money??? …nah. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
