I am looking for info on Kalamazoo G scale trains…Including scale… JOE KENT
Kalamazoo trains were the previous incarnation of Hartland Locomotive Works trains. Roughly 1:24 scale.
-Brian
As stated - 1/24 scale.
Toy like.
Unreliable runners.
Joe,
You get what you pay for.
If you pay a little bit, you get a little bit.
If you pay a little bit more, you get a whole lot more.
Spend the extra 20% or so, you won’t regret it.
Thanks Guys…You gave me something to think about… I was thinking about the rolling stock…maybe they would work with my New Bright stuff…Still shopping around…If I set up something outdoors I will use LGB Track But the LOCOS and Rolling stock is too high priced for me…JOE

And if that is true, then LGB must be the greatest thing since sliced bread!
I have a tank car which is Kalamazoo, no problems with it but then it is rolling stock and not a power loco!

Paul , Can you tell me what kind of couplers your Kalamazoo tank car came with ? … JOE
I have 3 Kalamazoo passenger cars. They don’t look quite as awkward on R-1 curves as the longer stuff. PLUS they were inexpensive. Unfortunately, they DO have freight car trucks…
All the Kalamazoo stuff I’ve seen had hook n loops
What are freight car trucks ?

Passenger car trucks have a longer wheelbase and more of a suspension for a smoother ride.
