Ralph,

I usually buy my HLW from Wholesale Trains…Call them, do not order online!!!

I’m thinking RLD hobbies and G Scale Junction also carry the line…you can order from HLW direct but only the “specials” (I think!)…so whatcha gonna order?

I see they have the “Mack” on the specials page, $45 and free shipping. No color choice, but I’ll probably repaint anyway.
I’ve never ordered from Wholesale Trains. Probably because their web-site.
G-Scale Junction has a very limited web-site.
Given my druthers, I’d rather order from a well constructed web-site like Ridge Road Station.
Ralph

Well, I have ordered from impressive websites to get the call/e-mail an hour, day, week later telling me they do not have it, or I call them when I do not get a box a week later. Ridge Road are one of the better of in/out of stock.

G-Scale Junction is a pretty impressive place with tons of stuff in stock (when I was there a year ago, they have a new owner now) despite their limited website. I would give them a call.

Is MTH made overseas?
The MTH Gs-4 I'm converting to batt/rc reads "Made in China" on the box.

Sanda Kan.
Owned by Kader.

MTH has thier own production facilities in China. They do not use Sanda Kan.

Are they teaming with PIKO? :)

Word on the street:

Athearn, Atlas, Aristo, USA, MTH, Märklin and a whole lot more at Sanda Kan.

Dave,

That’s impossible! Marvin says MTH has their own mfg; don’t you believe him? :stuck_out_tongue:

Aaaaaaaaaah Marvin!!!

What a guy!!!

Just like Stanley. Always wanting us to believe the unbelievable.

I wouldn’t want to argue with Marvin.
That’s just what’s out there.
Who knows, maybe Sanda Kan did some subcontract work for MTH once and that “counts”.
Like the fellow who visited Sanda Kan (or at least one of their factories) a late last year and reported Bachmann boxes stacked everywhere.

Line 12:
Sanda Kan Industrial Ltd., with headquarters in Hong Kong and manufacturing facilities throughout southern mainland China, produces not only Lionel trains but also Williams and MTH.

So Marvin gets it worng. Again!!! …and again!!! …and again!!!

Marvin=worng!

Hells Bells, maybe we can get that in the next GR!

Didya know that all the pain relievers such as Bayer, Tylenol, etc are made in China!!
All it takes is one assembly line terrorist…

So much for good old American Manufacturers’ loyalty…anything to save 2 cents per case…I wonder if they have checked them out for any Melomine content…!!!

Make sure Marvin knows that! It will open up a whole new career for him!

God forbid any of the “Gods” here are wronge! I would suggest you contact Andy Edelman at MTH and ask him if they use Sanda Kan. I know the answer- They used Samhongsa in Korea and then established thier own manufacturing facility in China. You guys can take your egos and stick 'em where the sun don’t shine!

Got him! "Special Forces"...they run the enlisted club on base, right?

Who/what upset Marvin? Could it be too much green turkey in his system? His favourite team of turkeys getting clobbered? Or just the usual OOOOPS factor?

I like worng better!!!
