Kadee Couplers for 1:20.3 Accucraft and Bachmann

I posted this on MLS, thinking I would get an answer. Answer didn’t happen, just someone wanting the Accucraft couplers. Has anyone tackled this subject here? It seems that I have seen this answered, but I couldn’t find it.

“I’m about ready to pull the plug on the Accucraft and Bachmann 1:20.3 couplers on the new cars. Anyone have the “G” Kadee number of what fits in these pockets?”

Their conversion page shows an 835 coupler (coupler only) for Accucraft’s freight cars. The new Bachmann cars don’t show as of yet. The 831 was the recommended coupler for the older cars. Thanks Warren, I’ve got some 835’s downstairs. I think its time to experiment.

Ric, sorry I missed the post on MLS…

#835 is a drop-in replacement for the AMS cars,

#830 is a drop-in replacement for the Bachmann cars.

As stated in the other post, the 930’s go on real easy on the Bachmann cars. The 835’s need to be drilled out to not fit so snug on the AMS coupler post.
