Devon, you said you were 43. I was about that age when I finally figured out that just because I could do a thing, didn’t mean I had to do it. (It’s your turn!)
I made it kind of a mantra whenever a new idea popped into my head. This helped. It wasn’t the final cure, but it sure did help…
Nowadays I am actually going from unfinished project to unfinished project, systematically finishing them. Sort of clearing away unfinished jobs before the Challenge hits.
Just working through repainting, relettering, renumbering, and weathering about thirty cars. Still got about a dozen to go. Actually enjoying it…

Aw, them overly complex, newfangled, wiz bang, cantankerous, diesel-lectric things are just a flash in the pan anyway. Maybe, someday, they will work out the kinks on that technology, but I am not sure. Steam is a proven technology that has been in use for hundreds of years.

“STAGED” Devon? I don’t understand your question. That is exactly how my laundry room looked two evenings ago. The only difference at that moment is I set my beer down there to go get my camera and photograph it. The only difference in the laundry room today is that the beer is long gone and the RS-3 is now upstairs on the dining room table getting speakers and a myloco sound card installed.
Hey! I’m not totally un-cooth…at the moment I took that photo I was enjoying this year’s vintage of Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale and blasting out the Brandenburg Concertos on the upstairs stereo system. I appreciate the finer things in life…good music, good libations and model trains!

OH I was really looking down on you until mentioned the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. 
That s one nice thing about being single no one cares if the model train sits on the drier.

There are toy trains, there are model trains, then there are prototypical scale replicas. So keep making fun of me and I will take my scale replica and go home.

Gee, I run model trains, and toy trains. As for scale replicas, I will leave that to the guys who build museum pieces. I don’t need all them delicate little details, just waiting for my clumsy hands to knock them off of the thing.
