Large Scale Central

Just a new thought

Someone needs to ask the questions and re-read the statements re: LGBoA and G-45.
No where does it say that LGBoA was “sold”.
Dave Buffington is not noted as “owner” of G-45.
The word “transferred” was used…

Just a new thought …

Marvin,

Read the German text and then my translation

The two last sentences in the first paragraph!

But you’re right, I haven’t seen the word “Sold” either.

Actually, I had heard that question, and asked.

There is a document, a statement from the very first of this series of happenings, in German, that states “Verkauf”.

That release seems to have disappeared into the ether, but, fortunately for all concerned, a full copy with graphics does exist.

Since that original posting was lost, all references have been to “transferred”.

I had other things to say, but since our Fearless Leader has asked for us not to speculate (which some were not…), I am just answering your question.

Reminder:

No, I agree…And I have no reason to speculate either.

This saga still has a long way to go before the whole story and truth unfolds. And I remember the original German text and HJ’s translation which was correct, stated “sold”…but the word “transfer” was substituted in subsequent news releases.

The only way our hobby has grown to its’ current state, with better and better products, is because of the healthy competition between companies in producing trains. We need all of the Large Scale Manufacturers to continue the growth plus they need new entrants to the hobby to buy their products. LGB will survive but there will be operational changes. What, how, when, and where will be known in due time.

Marvin,

That’s what I like about OPERA, allows you to save a page complete with all the graphics.

BTW I had several new thoughts, but I’ll sit tight for a few days on those.
