Jerky motion on Nw2....?

So in all the years I’ve owned stuff I’ve never owned anything long enough to wear it out.

As an aside that probably says something about me being a little mal-adjusted in some way or another

So hear I am with a well used NW2 that may need new motor blocks. I know it’s not electrical as I run battery and all connections are fine. There are no split gears that have not been dealt with. It’s lubed. The little thrust bearings are not too loose or too tight so I’m thinking the little cheap motor has seen better days. Do I just spring for new motor blocks?? C.Ro and company are only 20 minutes away. What say you. I have 5 of these so Aristo parts are not an options. After market???

How long has it lasted ? If that long why not just remotor it. Makes things a whole lot easier

Well that is the plan…re-motor. Was just wondering if I was missing suptin’

I got the impression you thought of using a differant motor rather than an exact replacement. I was just stating that an exact replacement would be easier to use, if in fact the original lasted for a good while.

Should have said thanks and left out the well. Wasn’t being a wise guy  I’ll probably go to Charlies today

I was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas…didn’t know if there was some kind of super motor out there…

I didn’t take it as you being a ‘wise guy’ Larry, and there may well be a super motor out there. But a differant motor would mean a new mounting and possibly a gear issue to overcome where USAs motor will drop right in. Me I prefer the lack of aggrivation.

Just back from Charlies with 2 new blocks…and you’re right, quick, easy and they speed match the others…only $91

WOW,

Larry if you wait to get the rest at the Springfield show at the end of the month, They had them last year for 25.00 each.

Nick

You are going to Springfield are’nt you ?

Oh well. Yep, I’ll be there with Scott…at least that’s the plan

I haven’t been up to Springfield in a few years. Maybe this is the year to go back.
