Helped a guy here get his railroad ready for his grandsons to visit, and spent a few days entertaining them. Twin 9-year-olds with ADHD. We found that railroading works better when your train is shorter than your attention span.
One boy was off with Mom, Dad and Grandma for the afternoon, so I was left with Noah. Grandpa wanted a video of a train with his collection of marine models on it, so Noah and I spent a long time making one. We both got a little cooked, though it was unusually cool for Tulsa in August. The best light we could find was standing on the rocks near the crossover.
We’d shoot a video, run in, look at it, find something wrong, run out, shoot again…
