Large Scale Central

It's raining.............. :(

Greetings from the Narrow Slats Glider,

Looks like we’re getting a bit of “Spokane-Weather” today … but check out our Nordic Center

More snow… if that keeps up we’ll be still skiing in May, like last year!

No skiing for me 'til Wednesday, lower back problems since last Thursday. Was someone playing with a VooDoo doll??

Friday and Saturday I was walking around very gingerly, bent over and feeling almost as old as some of the regular “moaners”.

For Warren: Never hit a tree, yet. But had some close calls when the thirtysomething attitude took over the sixtysomething body.

Ya gotta watch it. When you get older it’s more likely one of those trees will jump out in front of you. They seem to know when old folks are on the trail…

Spokane 10 day weather forcast…one word…RAIN…!!

Usually I just watch what’s ahead.
But I’ve been known to wipe out a few times, usual cause: plenty of speed and a slight change in the conditions.

As my friends say: That’s what keeps you humble!

One of these days I might switch to a snow board. They say it is easier on the knees.

Steve,

Yeah, but what about your wrists and your noggin?

Noggin is beyond further damage, and for the wrists, there are wrist guards. Besides, I always wear a helmet. It is warmer, don’cha know?

Happy Summer!! What a beautiful day… Now that summer is over…

I guess the critters are now out of hibernation. I caught the unmistakable oder of skunk this evening…:frowning: …the smell of a Spokane summer.!

Summer is over??? Already? Did I miss something?

Yea, Steve. It must have been summer…the sun was shining and it didn’t rain…

Hmmmm

This place has three seasons. July, August and Mud.

HJ, you got room for squatters?

There you go again , dimwit .
If your back really hurt , you wouldn’t dare mention it because you would realise what two of us over here are having to put up with .
You really are a very unpleasant person , it’s time you started trying to improve or think of moving back to your own little site where you can bully who you like .
BTW , ever heard of BATUS ?
Mind your backs , please .
Mike

Steve,

I don’t know about room for squatters, but there are two properties for sale just down the road from us - 150 to 200m or so - both have lake access. Real bargains, too… in the neighbourhood of about $1.2 million a piece (Canadian $$$ that is).

My back is on the mend, good enough for teaching today, tomorrow and Friday. Making up time for those who pitched in for me, kind of nice when people pitch in without grumbling!

Speaking of grumbling, I see the “Sage from Uxbridge” is back in form.

Good to see you up and about, Mike…
