Nice! Great news. Thanks Stan
Thanks Stan that was great, I wish my father was still alive to see it. He served during WWII as one of the first fight engineers out of Texas on the new B-29’s. He and a hand full of flight techs taught others to do thier job correctly on these beautiful airplanes. He use to love to come down to the hanger and watch as I helped restore all the wood in an old “Bamboo Bomber”. Thanks for the memories!!!

I’m pretty sure I saw Fifi at an air show here back in the 70’s, have pics in a album…glad to see its still flying.
Stan
Very nice article and we may not last long but the past is well representative in history of our endeavors even if it was war time.
Cheers, TOF in Hawaii
Stan, thanks… I think that most WWII planes are some wonderful and beautiful aircraft…
Stan,
Thank you so much for posting this. My uncle Herm was also a flight engineer on a B-29 and flew all over the Pacific. It was very nice to see this beautiful plane in all its glory.

Thanks for the post…
My dad was on the ground crew for B29’s in the pacific theater.
He never talked much about it. I guess it was the things he saw.
Nice Video. I only wish they had to motor sound instead of music. I love the sound those old piston engines. I’ve seen B-17’s and B-24’s fly, but never a B29. Awesome plane.
And here’s a some nice in-flight footage…
