Large Scale Central

It's been awhile

It’s been awhile since since the PVRR has been out on the rails :frowning: It’s been even longer since a freight has been run. And I can’t even remember the last time these three cars have been lashed together  Ralph

Bout time, man…the rails were getting rusty…

Nice shots Ralph. Good to see you’re running trains

Ralph I notice you have a station called Parrothead, is Margaritaville nearby

As Jimmy says, "Margaritaville is anywhere you want it to be" :D Ralph

Ralph nice to see you out running finalley. Been waiting a long time. Layout looks great. Weather looks nice. We had snow showers all day. Hoping to run tomorrow.

I bet you had fun. Looks like it was a nice day. I find it relaxing to sit out, with a coke, and watch it go around and veg out.

Jerry, Vegging out is good for what ails ya  Weather was even better today. The Daytona 500 delayed by rain, so trains were the order of the day

The 0-4-0 has some gear and motor problems. Prop duty for now.

The Sunny View Line is shut down for the Winter. The PVRR is providing limited service in Sunny View.

I couldn’t make up my mind which of these pictures was better. So I didn’t have to think too hard, I just posted all three

Sweet. I ran some today although a bit chilly low 30s and windy.

Better weather is coming. Wasn’t too bad today. At least someone had some nice weather. I like this one…with the engine framed by the bench…

Ken, I think that’s probably my favorite too. After looking at all three, I kind of wish I didn’t have the freight cars behind the locomotive. Clutters the background a little too much. But if I try to stage the scene again without them, the focus or something else will not turn out right  I cropped the second photo to remove the undetailed underside of the platform roof.

Very nice batch of photos Ralph. That white reefer is really scary though! Looks like a fun time both photography and operations-wise. Thanks for posting.

Richard, That white reefer is my favorite piece of rolling stock  I came up with the idea and Jon Radder did the art work. The first time I saw the finished art work, I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes  Stan did a wonderful job printing the decals. I’m not sure how happy Ken is about being a part of my pride & joy, but fortunately he has a good sense of humor  Ralph

Nice pictures Ralph. The low-angle shots from the depot are great. I really like this one even without any detail under the roof. Makes me feel like i’m standing there.
