Large Scale Central

It's been a while since ops at TOC's

Never can start too young with ops? I took my 10 yld to his first ops session and he cut his teeth on the same layout I did.

We ran 3 trains over about 5 and half hours.

He’s worn out but had a great time. More photos maybe later…

Best part was I got to say hi to some old friends including TOC himself. It’s been way too long since I’ve been over there.

So how is Dave? It’s been a long time since we have heard from or about him.

Dave’s still hanging in there. He’s still got his same personality even if he’s few years older. First thing he gives me a hard time about is selling off all my old RCS stuff. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

A few new faces, and a few old faces on the railroad last night.

Glad to hear Dave is doing well, I miss his posts.l

I miss Dave’s company too…he always was a generous person to me…I think I should try calling him very soon on the telephone…in fact I should have called way back when…

Twas a very good session.
Craig was one of the old timers, Michael was another.
Our official running was six hours this time.
1400 local to 2000 local.
No catastrophes.
Was a bit somber, as it was six days from the one year anniversary of the death of one of our irregulars, but his son was here.
Still looking at the colorful side of the Daisies!

Dave,
What year did you officially break ground on the original white rock loop with your brothers when you dug out the basement? Mid 90’s?

We have tried to figure that out. We THINK 95.

Good to see you post here Dave! I hope you’re having fun and doing well.

Dave is the guy that helped me get started with RC/Battery back in 2007 with my very first engine, the Bachmann Connie. I was a total plebe and Dave was so helpful between a lot of emails and some phone calls. Good to see him here.
