It Happens Every Year

My bro-in-law in Iowa got sick of the neighbor dog crapping in his yard all winter so he aimed the snow blower to deposit the dog logs on his neighbor’s roof, then sat back and waited for the Spring thaw…

Yes Walter, I have heard of that one too and it is very effective. Unfortunately it punishes the dog when it is really the owner who deserves to be punished, hence the bacon grease. Personally, I was once attacked by a large dog and have a fear of large and medium sized dogs, consequently I don’t like dogs. Ok with small ones as they can be kicked hard enough to send them running. How ever, even though I don’t like dogs, I still don’t think they should be mistreated. Now, irresponsible dog owners is a whole different story.

I agree Ron - ideally you’d find a way to punish the owner but short of following him around to see if he habitually takes a leak on a tree in his back yard, the dog is the only one left who’s attitude needs to be changed. Besides that, shock therapy is quick, only requires a one-time session, and is not physically harmful to the dog. It’s not much more uncomfortable than the shock dogs get from the Invisible Fence collar. Same principle, behavior modification.

Add two of these on your beach.
