ISO Aristocraft High Nose SD45

I am looking for a high nose SD45 made by aristocraft. Can pay via paypal.

Hi Corey, welcome to the group.

Thanks for having me john !

Little hard to come by, I think there were only 2 runs, and the last one was the last thing produced before they went under. Nice looking loco, I have a N&W, and the last run had the new “D cut” wheels, the ones that you could adjust the gauge on.

Be aware, if you do get a last run high nose, there is a very good possibility it is miswired. If you want to use the socket for a decoder, be sure to contact me, the miswiring can damage the decoder.

“Be aware, if you do get a last run high nose, there is a very good possibility it is miswired.” Corey I have 6 of the last run SD45’s and have used the socket on all with no problems. The first run had wiring problems and how to fix it, is well documented on this Form.

Richard, do your locos have the “D cut” wheels? they are not plated, but sintered steel, and are black not shiny…

Also Richard, you might want to tell Navin he is also wrong about the wiring problems, since he has a going business fixing them.

Yes in fact I have 100 “D cut wheels”

I guess I had better check my wiring, I bought two wiring sets from Navin for SD45 to replace 1st gen. wire and they are the same as the ones in my last gen. I had better check to see if he sold me defective ones.
