Is this the action of a Liberal?

This scares the crap out of me. This bad news comes from the liberal MSNBC network. But read it anyway.

What is it that bothers you in particular, Ralph?

I don't like the idea of an all powerful NSC encompassing and encroaching on all aspects of an American's life. Ralph

I saw this type of thing coming, Komrad.

The route from “Progressive,” to “Socialist,” to “National Socialist,” to “Tyrant” is very short and slippery.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, but isn’t he answering the call for more national security that one hears so often in the USA?

“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Ben Franklin

“You can have liberty or security, don’t ever count on having both at the same time.” L. Long

Funny Steve, I seem to recall using similar quotes when “W” made near identical moves…creating the “Department of Homeland Security”, mass recordings of phone calls of American citezens without a warrent, etc. Seems Bush and Obama have more in common than not? Kinda like the Republicans screaming about the size of the bailout after over-seeing the largest growth in national debt in the history of the country! (To be fair…and I always try to be fair…while the 'Pubs are responsible for uncontrolled spending of obscene proportions we apparently are embarking on a “double or nothing” strategy). Elephants and Donkeys, truly different sides of the same coin.

Mark, you forget that when the Republicans do it, its ok!

There isn't a measure of difference between the two "big box" political parties in the USA. Republicans say they are for lower taxes, and spend money like a drunken sailor and Democrats say they want to raise taxes and spend money like a drunken sailor (no intent to insult the Navy). Both parties want "occupying military forces" in the 170 foreign countries, both wish to continue the corrupt fiat monetary system of the Federal Reserve. Unfortunatly Venezuela had only one fewer choice for president, and Iraq had many more than we did.

The U.S. is on track to a Socialist-Marxist-Communist government. All the pigs have their noses in the trough. Big shots after their millions and billions of dollars, the welfare cheats after a lazy lifestyle of television and intoxication. “Joe The Plumber” is frightened of Big Brother and doesn’t want to piss off the IRS, FBI, CIA, BATFE, DHS, etc. I would only guess that the USSR had fewer agencies watching their citizens than the USA has now.

I may have to emigrate, but where could someone go that wants freedom and liberty? Europe, Canada and Australia have lost their freedoms. Mexico is run by the drug cartels and are murdering thousands a year. Japan and Taiwan are socialist, Russia is turning back the clock to the 1960’s.

I like these quotes I found:

Well, drunk sailors tend to be spending their own money. By contemporary standards they’re quite prudent.

I never knew a sailor, drunk or sober, with the imagination of the Congress.

I received an e-mail recently from a guy who said, “As a former drunken sailor, I resent being compared to members of Congress.

Whenever I ventured out on Fleet Liberty, I had a budget. When the money ran out, I was done. Unlike Congress, I didn’t have a printing press.

Yes, I didn't like it then, I don't like it now. Ralph
