I have tried searching online without luck. I am looking for a list, hopefully with pictures of custom cars that San Val had painted with USA Trains.
I’m looking for a particular one.
Is there such a list or image library out there?
Thanks.

Which one?
I’m looking for the Butz and Auschfartz F.A.R.T. boxcar. I think that is how it is spelled. It is in line with the “cheeky” humor of Al and Charlie Ro.
Yes, that is a cute one. Someone (probably Paul McFarland) on Del Oro had one. (He did the McFartland gas processing plant.) I’m also pretty sure that Bob Johnson in our club has one.
Did you know that it also has a sound unit and remote control to “activate” it so you can…
I can ask at our next club meeting if anyone has one they want to part with. I can also ask of Bridgemasters for you. How much $$$ are you looking to spend?
One of their other way cool rareties is the depressed flat car with the working plasma ball.
If you intend to “go down this line,” you may also be interested in their “Beaver Salt” reefer.
“Beaver Salt” “When the Taste of Beaver Is Not Quite Right!”
This was a take-off on the LGB “Route of the Beavers” series.
One of the guys on one of these forums was doing a listing of all the USAT reefers becasue I remember sending photos of my “Bear Whiz Beer” set.
Linda reminded me that I had the “Scandle Cigars” car from the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinski sex scandle. “You Don’t Have to Smoke Them to Enjoy Them”
At the time San-Val called this car “The Monica.” I looked around for it and then remembered selling it to a collector several years ago.
There are all kinds of odd and funny cars that Charles Ro has produced over the years and that “commemorative” cigar car was one of them.
A while back I contacted Al and asked him if he had any of Butz cars still kicking around but he said no. I also asked him if the sound effects came with the car and he said they did not and they must have been after market.
When over to the previously mentioned USATgroup forum, I spotted this topic in the new section;
http://www.usatgscalegroup.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=4112
Which involved a link to a supposed CharlesRo “cleansweep” sale I personally don’t think actually a ‘clearance sale’, but then I did not compare item $ to other resellers. Plus since our exchange rate is crap again not bothering.
You might find a oddball you maybe interested in . . . . http://www.charlesro.com/clearancesale1.html
you’re welcome

I found the data base.
Some cute ones in the “series.”

And, (drum roll please)
Butz & Ausfahrtz Perfume (Imported and Packaged in the USA In or Near Beaver Valley).
And Yes, these did come with the fart module. I guess my memory is better than Al’s. “This car has an electronic remote controlled fart sound machine on board which produced five different fart sounds.”
Thanks Todd. Those are great boxcars for the tongue in cheek dept… File these in the dirty old man siding in the back of the RR…
I forgot that the cigar/ monica car had the extra graffiti on it. It would make perfect sense to have the remote fart module in that car.
Someday I will get one. After years of searching I finally found another rare one the USAT Cape Cod Potato Chip car, an actual local company, with blinking lighthouse which they made 125 of for a LGB convention back in 1994 held on Cape Cod. They made 100 of the FART cars so they are out there and one will come down the line at a decent price someday.

Records show 200 units were produced. As I said, I know someone with one. But he may not want to part with it.
I made a few inquiries for you as to three of possible sources.
I had heard 100 I think from Al Kramer but 200 doubles my chances of finding one! Sort of…
If one should come available at a decent price that would be great but I’m not willing to bust the train budget wide open.
I have faith that one day I will find one. The search is sometimes better than having it sit on the shelf. LOL
