Give me a Maine 2-ft Forney in 7/8n2 any time. [Hello, Jason?]

Pete, how about a Forney you can ride IN…

This little beauty runs on 7.5" track:

You can read more about it over here: http://www.freerails.com/view_topic.php?id=2786&forum_id=17&page=59

Well we are doing the SRRL #5 in 7/8th (an extract of my drawings for this project have been published in recent months in NG&SLG) and yes Tac, I only offer prototypical paint jobs. If an engine was never black, not even later in life I dont offer it. My comment was just to point out that Chris never said anything about Americanising it, and had simply wanted it black…nothing unusual there, all too many people consider the only colour of an engine to be black - look at all the trouble I’ve gotten into suggesting a dark green or a Lake engine! Anyway, enough from me, you’re right I should just shut up, Its not my interest. see ya.

David.

David - you misunderstand me, where did I write that you should shut up? :open_mouth:

Looking forward to seeing it. I saw the Monson combine that is/was produced in 7/8n2 and it was humungous. Just what 2’ railroading is supposed to be. Now, who is going to produce a tie strip?

I think the point that someone made about using a black version as ‘kit-bash fodder’ is a good one. The more locos they sell, the more likely they’ll do some other cute little beast. Lots of folk model a fictitious RR so they can mix-and-match. No reason the Lake George and Boulder RR couldn’t have had a 2-4-0 - with or without a cowcatcher!

You? Trouble? But your colour drawings are so delightful we don’t mind if you don’t draw any plain black locos!

David, yes. I run into that too. some people think there is only one colour for a steam locomotive, fire truck, barn, etc. Some people just need to open their minds to other possibilities. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
