I received the earlier emailing from Father Fred but I forgot to make a note of it. would anybody have the schedule for this years event.
Spring might appear within the next few months, and to avoid the threat of next Winter, which might rush in shortly; I thought it wise, with several short emails, to start bringing everyone up-to-date on the plans for this year's "Invasion of Friends"
The dates are; Thursday, July 17th, through Monday, July 21st.
(1) This year the "Tour" takes a different track; starting, at a "NEW" venue, in Bellville Ontario, just a few miles West of Kingston, on Ontario highway #401.
Barry Birkett has offered to have the opening operating day there, on Thursday, July 17 th.....more information on this in a second email.......
(2) The second part of the Invasion is at the usual place, on the IPP&W in Ottawa, on Friday and Saturday.......
David McCurdy has said that he is sorry to say that his railroad cannot partisapate this year, but he will see everyone here in Ottawa.
Sunday is a rest day in Ottawa....with a drop-in at Doug Matheson's on departure from Ottawa.
(3) The third and final part is the Monday picnic, and run (LS and ride-on) at the Finger Lakes Live Steamers,at Merrango NY
I plan to be at all three events and I REALLY look forward to seeing you guys again. Cheers!
