International Garden Railroad Hall of Fame

Greetings my Friends. I am proud to announce the opening of the International Garden Railroading Hall of Fame in Broken Wheel, New Mexico!

As members of LSC you have been inducted as the inaugural representatives. All you need to do is identify what items you would have placed on display if this were a real thing.

Please post a picture and brief description of your top three most prized G-scale accomplishments that represent your current enjoyment of the hobby. This can be a model, collectible piece or related memento.

Boomer K Mogwai - 2026

Third Choice: Engine 34

This is the first complete repaint I ever did but very little in model work beyond the the crew and the retaining rail for the wood pile. It does have a huge amount of electronics:
Rewired for LED lights
Phoenix sound
Airwire with batteries
Custom transmission with titanium gears
Five pole Pittman motor

Second Choice: Moonshine Shack

Completely scratch built building with figures and a few details.
Most of the details were scratch built or casts form my masters
Lots of research went into making sure the details were era appropriate for the 1930s
Gained a few new skills including printing on paper towels and foil.

First Choice: Rotary CY

What a haymaker this was. The primary body started as a Bmann Spectrum boxcar with tender based on a Bmann Big Hauler ten wheeler tender. A friend 3d printed the shroud and rotor.
Another project with lots of research and multiple trips to the yard at Chama. Of course it has favorite detail…lots of rivets. Easily the most complex build I have ever done.

I want to thank all of the little people who made my projects possible - Railroad Avenue Engineer, Two Tamiya pit crew guys and of course the Cheaple bodies that were the basis of the Rotary CY crew.
