Howard is an interesting guy. He used to be a regular over on MLS.

I guess, Like TOC, he got tired of all the BS and retired from the forums.

He is seriously into die-cast cars too !

TOC is gathering steam over on MLS.
It’s us he’s slowed down on.

Amazing layout. He must have spent a fortune on cars and figures!

Howard was a regular on MLS for a long time, he retired and then slowly dissappeared, I suspect he 's still around but just alot less active in the hobby, hence no postings.

Howard is probably getting up there in age. I remember many, many years ago when he was the
“psychic to the stars”.

If you follow the links from the first link I posted, you will see his interesting history pics of him on Regis’s tv show and his fabulous collection of Mickey’s and such!! Several links there other than the trains!! Regal

I talk to Howard on the phone once in a while. He lost interest in the hobby when MLS became a lot of petty bickering. His main interest now is digital photography. He told me a few weeks ago that he was going to sell-off quite a bit of his trains for new cameras and gear.

It sure was a nice looking RR but he built fast and furious and I think he burned him self out on trains. Same to see it all disappear. Later RJD

hummmm I sent him a e-mail last week and he did not say anything about selling stuff off. I had to ask him to photo a car he had so I could get the right colors for some that I am going to build. Nice guy

I met Howard at the BTS show on the Queen Mary many years ago. Nice fellow and he always was ready to show you the pictures he took.

I guess too much involved in model trains can take it’s toll as many get burned out sooner or later.

I fought that same thing but found building model kits to be most interesting. I’ve built building kits from HO to Goofy gauge but find my main interest in HO logging kits. My wife wonders why I have so many saw mills ! She hasn’t seen everything, yet !! Boxes of kits to be assembled on the shelves…

Cheers, TOF

Nice layout. It looks familiar. Did he ever have any open houses during shows?

Jon.

Yes he did during the BTS.

Pretty neat, too bad he’s not into it anymore.

Howard emailed me yesterday, and He is turning his interests into another love of his life “photography” camera’s and such!! Regal
