Found this on you tube today!! Interesting thought I would share with you guy’s who haven’t seen this yet!! Regal
Now that was neat!!!
Interesting video. I’m not sure what the point is of putting a rock in a pail, using a zero leverage pulley to “lift” the pail, and then moving said pail with the train. If he had a tipper full of rock, and a block & tackle for loading it would make more sense.
John I think it was for "aesthetics’ or a little showmanship for the camera as he was filming!! Regal
Maybe it was the only way to get the kid to ‘help’? His supports for the last third probably aren’t quite up to FRA standards, and there is a really bad twist at the end of the line. IMO he’s real lucky nothing shifted, and the loco didn’t tumble and take the kid with it.
i think, that guy got all, what he needs. - he got fun.
and i’m quite sure, he doesn’t count rivets or spikes…
Pretty rickety on that hillside.
I don’t think I want to ride it.
Just don’t let the lane Co. OR officals see this , they will want to shut it down!
Well, I don’t think he’s in Oregon think way farther East. Maybe der’s NO Guberment der! What you tink??? Hah LOL Regal

Hey - At least the track gauge is wider than most people’s behind. Try riding 1" scale over a trestle with no walkways. Ken, Ric, Fred & I did. Ken and I both fell off. Ken got lucky, I snapped his picture.

I kept that safely hidden away for years. I can’t even remember now what you said that caused me to post it in the first place But I’ll keep on posting it until I get even

John Bouck said:I tell you what - those riding cars could really use outriggers, especially for us wide-loads :o I don't know what Ken's excuse was.

That’s a great railroad but I would be placing LOTS of rock on the downhill side to stabilize that track!
