New neighbor kid is a royal pain in the rump. About ready to name him ‘Mooch’. First he found a salamander in one of the ponds, asked if he could have it… I hadn’t even noticed it taking up residence, so I said ‘sure’. Couple days later he wanted to know what I was going to do with all the ‘old stuff in the yard’ (the layout, and the wheels for my 1/3 scale steamroller)… I said, “keep it, it’s mine.” Friday we were having a yard sale, and he wants to know what we have for ‘free’… I told him 3 boxes of generic corn flakes. He made a face and left. Then came back a few hours later asking if he could still have them. Later he almost talked Kim into giving him the pacu she’s been trying to find a home for… until he asked if he could have my 55 gallon aquarium for free, too. (another neighbor got the fish today, and bought a spare tank we had for $45) — anyhoo, if anything disappears, his grandma knows where I’ll come looking first.
The cardinal is Ralph’s… ask nice and he might do a decal swap with you too.
A Pacu is big enough to eat
Nice to see the PVRR colors rolling in PA.

Do you think the kid will fit in the aquarium?
Looks good. I still have to post a picture of the AV box car.
Don’t forget your per deim revenue rates KMR and PVRR CFOs. Mik, get that checkbook handy…
Sure, they can each have a check… It’ll just be about as rubber as my ruler…
Today’s project: Cutting the cheese®? Or how to ‘biggie size’ a turd? It isn’t fair to have your buddy’s car sit in a box. But that’s what these did. The New Bright cars were just too tiny to be of much use. SHORT lengthwise I could live with, skinny and low just looked too funny (they are also rediculously light) . You can see the relative size with a Lehmann toytrain boxcar in the first post, and they look even worse with a Kalamazoo one…

The solution came to me this evening. Take 2 cars and make one… just cut the top off one and the bottom off another and splice 'em together! Done right, you can make 2 usable cars out of 3 junkers…

I got this far before remembering that I’m OUT of putty! (and $$ as usual) … I guess it gives me more time to figure out how to modify the doors and maybe widen the cars a bit as well.

Shawn, yours is next after I find another carbody… or mooch another set of decals
Great idea and looks good so far. I have a few cars to decal myself. I have to order more decals if you need some let me know. It will get me off my a-s-s and order some LOL. I might have to mooch off Ralph as well since I messed up the decals he gave me. I have a caboose thats waiting for a decals.
I have to place an order with Stan myself. The AV and KM gondolas both need some detail and decal work.
