As part of Kim’s Christmas gifts last year she got 3 Kalamazoo passenger cars to go with her kitbashed Aristo based 2-4-0. I only had time to paint and letter ONE of them before the holidays… so that’s what she ran under the tree. The other two were stripped down for painting, and stuck in a box… Well I FINALLY got off dead center yesterday and decided to paint them, only to find that I’ve misplaced the trucks to one of them, and the San Val wheels for BOTH… Welllll, one can do what one can, the coach I still had trucks for got B’mann metal wheels for now. Since I had the car apart, I decided to address the fact that the interior is a great big empty. I had a partial set of Bachmann coach seats, so I cut them apart, and glued them in. I also added a stove and a restroom. Then, while I was at it, I put a quicky interior in the combine I had previously painted. Just a divider and ‘immigrant car’ benches. I need to get a stove for it yet.
Two out of three ain’t bad… maybe the observation car will actually be finished by THIS Christmas??? If I find the trucks, some seats and a stove for it…
