Large Scale Central

Temp rockets up in the AM, high 80s, low 90s.

Dry heat mostly, not humid.

Then the sea breeze blasts in - stand in the carport, lift your arms, let it dry the sweat off you.

Sun starts to fade, breeze stiffens a bit, you and your wife step out for a stroll

Or maybe you go down the beach and cast a line or two.

Go anywhere along our beautiful Indian Ocean shore you like -

All public beaches, free parking, no license to fish from shore.

Sometimes I miss New York, but rarely New York winters.

Keep warm, amigos!

Dave, I’m looking outside this morning towards my backyard, 80 foot norway spruce dark hunter green, with a frosting of new powder white snow. A sight thats purely breath taking to those of us that can stop and appreciate natures beauty. Pretty soon I’ll strap on the cross country ski’s and engoy this blessing of snow…

Dave & Mark,
No snow here to speak of in Western NY but a fresh half inch coating of sleet and ice. The schools are all closed (not work of course) and we are expecting more of the same until tomorrow morning. Sudnay we fly out for Sunny Floriduh to visit that guy with the funny round ears.

Chas

Dave, I don’t like you, anymore!

Steve, can you even get out of your house yet??

I can get out of the house, but getting out of the driveway, even with a 4 X 4 is dicey. I’m glad this house was build with actual 2 X 12 rafters!

You remind me why I said "rarely", not "never"!

Mark,

This is where I get to play errrrrrrrrr I mean instruct several times a week. Usually our season starts early Nov and ends mid April. It’s a long hard winter!

Warren, Steve and JB get the benefit from my snow dances when the weather drifts too far South, not my fault if the weather gods screw up the message!

No, but it's up to my a$$. I went out to where I think the layout is to try to knock the snow off the Alberta Spruce and Dwarf Maples we have planted, and decided that I needed snow shoes to get out there, and that I probably wouldn't be able to do much good anyway.

Keep up the dances, we need to replenish the watertable down here, anyway!

And by the end of the week, HJ's students are schussing uphill ... Or exiting stage left, pursued by bear ...

Good thing our January thaw took care of much of December’s snow, or we’d be tunneling after yesterday/night’s little dump.
