Hi Folks;
I couldn’t use these, as they were already built, but they are a good example of using random stuff for a project. The Trollish Punch car uses an old blister pack for the coal bin, sparkling wine bottle tops for the two still vessels, a Crystal Lite container for the firebox, and the stirrups had to be fabricated because the troll’s feet were too wide for large scale stirrups. The punch is branded Loughbrau (because trolls have low brows). Oh, the car is an Aristo two-axle car. The “fire” is the foil wrapper from a Lindt truffle Easter Egg candy. The chimney is a bendable drinking straw painted Engine Black.
An acquaintance gave me a scratch-built outhouse, minus a door. I made a door, and mounted it on hinges. The TP roll is real TP cut to size and rolled onto the holder. The “car” is a single truck with a basswood “carbody”.
Just some ideas for how other stuff can be used for train projects.
