In-ko-pah RR - Trying out the new camera

Did a few quick test shots on the layout yesterday, using my new Canon SD880 digital camera:

This next one shows my newest addition to the layout, a dilapidated blacksmith’s shop at the abandoned mine. All the “wood” is actually styrene.

The next shot shows the powder magazine at the Cliffside Mine:

The small size of the camera lets me get in a lot closer, for shots like this one looking across the wooden walkways on the Cliffside Mine:

Very nice shots Ray! looks like you have a winner there.

Yes those are good , but how will it do to take photos of models ?
Do you live near that mine in the pictures ? It would be great to try and model that mine .

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not Dennis.

Great pics Ray. Now you need to write it up for GR.

They do look real (I gotta get me a decent camera!). I’m just a long time admirer of Ray’s work.

Great shots I really love your railroad. I think a painted up big john will look real nice on their  Lets see some more photos

Thanks guys!

BTW, the pics were reduced in size and “optimized for the web” using Photoshop.

Tonight I want to try taking some long exposure shots by moonlight.
