I like how Ray didn’t put much effort into the backside because its barely going to be seen yet the cabinets are complete with hardware.
There is modeling and then there is what Ray does. Great job

WOW! That is BEAUTIFUL(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
I had hoped to be a lot farther along on this by now, but some major family issues have kept hobby time to a minimum. Anyway, I did manage to paint the floor of the waiting area. I used custom mixed, flat, indoor/outdoor house paints to make it look like terra cotta “Saltillo” tiles:
Marvelous! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Where that one tile is chipped, have a child squatting down investigating the chip by poking a stick in it. (that would have been me) (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Here’s the back of the ticket counter. This will only barely been seen so I didn’t put too much effort into it, however I do plan to add a few items setting on the counter:
OK , Ray, I just sprayed water all out my nose from that comment.! Made the stairs the ticket booth, and the crown moulding from strip styrene… any one of us would consider it our masterpiece, never to go outside or stay outside . like everyone else WOW jaw dropping work. Yhanks for the lessons learned.
Thanks. Just to be clear, that photo (with the stairs) is the front of the ticket counter.
Your attention to detail is amazing!
I’ve had my nose in my own toned down version of OCD for a month and missed these updates. I don’t know what to say. With the proper lighting it would be impossible to distinguish a photo of this model interior from the real thing. You have raised the bar another 10 feet above my head (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)Awesome Ray.
Dunakining at it’s finest for sure! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Yeah this is the back side that Ray has determined not to put to much effort into because it can’t be seen. Notice the entire lack of detail like cabinet doors and the pulls. i mean it is down right sterile (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Thanks Devon for showing the proper side, after I had posted it I noticed it was the wrong side and did not have time to correct it. you will also notice since it is the back of the counter they do not mop the floors as often. Ray I am in awe of this work, it is really amazing, incredible work
Step away from this for awhile and then check it out. Holy Cow!

I did Mr Golding and I realized a HUGE mistake on the inside corners of the cornice moulding. It was cut at a 45 instead of coped like it should have been (back in the day) !
This is kinda disappointing considering the amount of work that went into this project. I am suspecting that Mr Dunakin hired sub contractors for the job and I’m hoping he did not pay them for the proper finish work as they suggested they would do correctly!
EDIT: Waiting on the 3 to 5 color paint scheme (matter of choice) but 3 at a minimum would be proper!
LOL!
BTW, if you guys would like to see some really insane interior detailing, check out this 1:22.5 scale engineering office. It has four operational drafting tables, with operational drafting arms (not sure the correct name for these), working desk lamps, etc etc:

(Scroll down a bit to see the pics.)
C’mon Ray. You’re just trying to excuse your own insane detail! (Plus it’s the WRONG scale (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif))
Daaaaaang! I went to the flickr album the builder mentioned in the thread, and all I can think is, “Is it real or is it Memorex”.
Ray, do you use a different name for each scale?
or was this the proof, that there exist at least two extraordinary modellers among the hundreds of millions of northamericans?

Actually, the gentleman who built that model is in Germany, if I remember correctly.
