Large Scale Central

Important Message From St. Aubin's

Well, it is hard to believe it but the Holiday Season is right around the corner and all of us at St Aubin want to take some time and make you aware of some of the changes for the holidays. The first big change is that we will be making our triumphant return to Trainfest after a one year hiatus. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones, so stop on by and visit with me and my wife. Second, we are expanding our hours to make holiday shopping more convenient. Starting Nov. 1, we will be open 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday until Dec 23rd and 9am to 4 pm on Saturday. Third, we will be bringing back the traditional Sunday hours from 12 pm to 4 pm starting Nov. 27th going through December 18th weather permitting, so please call ahead before heading out. Finally, Santa has agreed to take some time out of his busy schedule and stop by the train store on Saturday December 10th and Sunday Dec 18th from 1PM to 4 PM bringing along all kinds of Christmas goodies for the good little train engineers. Included in his sleigh are all of the Seasonal Selections from USA including the 2011 Dated Christmas Car, Christmas ore cars in red white and green, and Santa’s own special Christmas caboose modeled after the one the ATSF made for him. As a special treat we were also able to talk him into special 3 car Overton Christmas passenger car sets. Quantities are limited so get yours today. But don’t think we forgot about the other companies, Christmas Gandy Dancers from Bachman and Snowflake and Wreath Egg liners From Aristocraft will also be available for your holiday railroading pleasure. For all the Thomas, James and Percy lovers, all the Thomas rolling stock in HO and G scale you could ever want will be available as of Oct 15th so stock up before they are gone. Plenty of new items are arriving every day including TP 10s, and Bridgeworks power supplies, as well as the beer can tank cars, and the 60 foot box cars. So make your lists, check them twice, and come on down or call us. We look forward to helping you this holiday season.

Thank you
The Staff at St Aubins

FYI, Bob ok’d this message prior to posting.

Times seem hard in most Countries these days. So, a very upbeat sales message makes good reading. I guess they are making strong efforts to make purchasing railroad hobby items easier with extended shopping hours. I hope they succeed and more to the point I hope there are some bargains there to be had.

I found it hard to wade through that block of text. Here or in the email. A paragraph or two would help.

The indicator for me is putting all the Santas in one basket – the information is for Christmas items nothing else. I’m curious if this Christmas sale is the defining act for their company.

Yeah, let me try to decode this:

Is a guy in a santa suit really going to be there?

I don’t think so:

A few years ago they had that big sale and LSOL members got first calls and then it opened to everyone else. At the time Ridge road was still cheaper then St Aubins. I dont order from them anymore. The last two times I ordered they killed me on shipping.

St. Aubins has such a bad reputation north of the border that many don’t bookmark their site. Regards, Dennis.

Ouch!
