Impeach the President?!?

Sorry this isn’t about the idiot in the White House. Its about me! I want to be impeached from being the president of my club. No where in my position description does it say I have to babysit a bunch of over 50 year olds.
First, the club secretary quit. He is moving out of state but we weren’t getting along anyway.
Then the club treasurer takes it upon himself to reduce the amount of a trailer towing reimbursement because he felt the mileage put in for for too high. Mapquest gave him a lower mileage figure so that’s what he decided he would reimburse for. Now the guy who put in for the reimbursement is upset. He is also the club vice president, stores the trailer at his place free of charge and a fire chief. He and another member do 95% of the trailer towing as well as the maintenance. Its not a small trailer. Its a big two axle one, weighing in at 7,000 lbs that only 4 of us in the club have a truck big enough to tow it. They are talking about leaving the club because of this. I tell the treasurer he can’t arbitrarily decide what he’s going to reimburse members and that if there is a problem, it should be brought up to the board to resolve. So, like a four year old being told he can’t do something, he up and quits. I had to hunt high and low just to find someone to take on the secretary job.
Other than that the club is doing well financially and membership is up, currently at 157!
I don’t want to be accused of being a quitter so I’m going to start a drive for my impeachment and go out in a blaze of glory.

Ahh!!! Brian.

Dontcha just love politics in clubs.

I gave up on them for precisely that reason 20 years ago.

The same with a one make car club 20 years before that.

Brian,
you will need to be caught going through the documents of a neighboring train club and then accused of a cover up by denying that such an incident actually occurred. It will then be a Briangate impeachment. Don’t you just love the democratic system! You could of course cite health reasons and rescind your presidency.

Actually, 90% of the club is clueless to the BS that goes on behind the scenes. Maybe that’s how it should be.

BTW - Ops at Woodland Railway this Saturday. Just email Jim if you can make it. I’m still 50/50 for Saturday.

I’m open to suggestions. Tim has a good one. Maybe I could go around and sabotage those DCC systems. They’re always a pain in the butt anyway…

The OVGRS is successful because we are a non club and own nothing and have no membership dues…

Answer is simple. Do like they do in many third world countries. Call for a special election then stuff the ballot box…with the name of somebody you don’t like. :smiley:

OTOH, if you decide to get impeached, a less qualified twit may take over as Pres. I’d say stay on to protect your interests.

Maybe you could email Senator John McCain, as come November, he will be looking for another job and it may not be the President of the United States but he could at least be the president of something.

I don't think that B. Hussein Obama would be qualified to be Pres on any train club.

George Dubya got to become president for two terms and he could not even tie his own shoelaces, let alone compose a sentence. Obama is not a good choice as leader and neither is Bill, oh, I meant to say Hillary. You think with 250 plus million people that someone could be found. Our gene pool is limited to around 20 million so we can be excused for picking idiots to lead the country. At least our current leader can tie his own shoelaces and is an intellectual, well versed in world affairs outside his own home state, unlike ‘dubya’ who thought that Texas was the whole world.
