Apparently I have been absent to long. I can always tell because I start to get messages outside of LSC wondering where I am. This is not a complaint rather I take it as a compliment. Nice to know people are concerned. I just haven been focused on things other than the RR hobby. I have checked in you all. I have been busy working on wood projects and fishing. Only so many hours in a day. But rest assured I am here and still kicking.
Sounds nice…
the; Are you still here?
Can be taken 2 ways…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
If anybody cares, so far I’ve hauled in 25 cinder blocks and installed them as layout legs. Replacing termited 8 x 16" pine blocks… with 30 to go… finely the triple digit weather is leaving for the high nineties!(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif) Pics? Too sweaty!

This is why you’re so thin, you handsome devil.
If you are woodworking, thoughts on cradles? Make great Christmas presents!

Honestly i forgot all about this. i doubt it right now. To much other stuff going on.
No problem buddy, glad you are having fun and doing stuff other than driving to Washington!
I’ll ping you every so often, would like to make several.
Greg
What i need Greg is a pattern. Once I have a pattern then cutting is fast. Cutting and drilling and getting them ready for assembly becomes a production line and really won’t be bad. For me, since I have never made them, the figuring out the pattern and how to cut what I need from material with minimal waste is the real time consumer. If I had plans or one to measure off of, then I am sure I could spit some out for interested parties. I would want cost of materials and postage nothing more. So I can work with you if you get me a cut sheet or plan.
Yeah, I can disassemble mine and use it for a pattern.
When you get clear of your other stuff, just let me know, not rushing you at all, happy to see you are busy doing stuff you like.
Greg
If you’re talking about cradles for working on locos and cars, i have one. If it’s for babies, yer on yer own.
That would work. I can copy it.
I’d be interested in the plans, too.

I wish! 7 years ago my doctors kept saying during Chemo … Eat eat eat
This time there was no nausea, but I ate and ate , remembering the past… this time I gained weight through chemo!(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
Gregory, the idea was to make available to people, so when this starts it will be visible here on the forum. I want about 4 or so for myself.
Greg
Well I am no draftsman but when I get Chucks sample from Steve I can do a rudimentary drawing and maybe some of our cad drafters can whip something up for us all to have. I doubt Chuck, smiling from heaven, will mind if we share his design. For my part of it once I have a handle on what it takes to mill the pieces I will be glad to offer them up cut and drilled ready for assembly for the cost of materials and shipping to those who want them as long as they are willing to bear with me and my limitations on health and energy. It may take me a little bit to get them knocked out and would prefer to do several at one time to save on set up. But having a set of plans available would make it even easier as I don’t think they would be hard to make with basic tools.
I’m more than happy to produce the drawings, Devon. When you get your hands on the prototype let me know and we will make it happen.
