Large Scale Central

I'm not usually a rivet counter. But....

I did glue 2028 of those little things onto my bridge. I’m good for a while.

The bridge was built from a Plastruct kit.

Dennis

Very cool - Nice bridge!

Dennis,

I know what you mean, I don’t remember the exact count when I did these two bridges 3-4 years ago

but there were a bunch of them.

I used brass escutcheon pins so had to cut them all off on the back side(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

That sure is a nice looking bridge and a good idea to use those jewels for the 2,028 rivets. They add depth to the realism now you need to build some supports.

Supports are next on the list.

So that’s what you’ve been doing in chat every night (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Nice work DT(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

And how many rivets are going on the steel support structures for the bridge?

Supports will be concrete. I’ve had my fill of rivets. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

Dennis, and that is one of the many reasons I model old narrow gauge. Wooden cars don’t have rivets.

Nice looking bridge…

Great bridge, and the rivets really are the crowning touch.

I’ve seen those kits in the Plastruct catalog and often considered getting one. This is the first time I’ve heard of anyone who built one.

Those little gem things really do look good and are ancheap way to.get some rivets on things . looks great

Great job DT.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
