The perfect combination Father’s Day weekend, fine weather, excellent fellowship and of course live steam locomotives to enjoy. The meet had fellow steamers from PA, NJ, NY, OH, Fl, VA, MD, SC, along with a Canadian with a different take on steamup participation.
There was a variety from steam engines during the time I was there (no coverage on Friday’s selection of iron horses). Locomotives representing: SP, Down under, PRR, Virginian, C&O, BR, Southern, UP, BR, NP, CP with special interest in the CP Selkirk.
The meet was the first opportunity to test run the Aster K4 converted to alcohol fired system with a successful outing.
Thanks to Jim and JoAnne for hosting the event and all those who helped Jim in the upgrade on the track.
