Ideas for hiding switches.

I have a couple of switches that I need to hide from view/weather.
Can you post some pics / ideas!
Thanks
Sean

Sean, Someone on here showed a pic once, of a bucket turned upside down over his switches… Was someone up under pine trees, his name escapes me.

What kind of switches, track or for wiring?
As you probably noticed on my layout I don’t hide the switches that send power to a siding I build them right into a switch shack. I use household light switches, they are cheap, last for years, at a glance I can see if they are off or on and sometimes I even tap them on with my foot.

I use the weatherproof 4"x4"x4" boxes from home improvement stores and put a bird house over that.

There is one shown in the upper right corner.

I do the same, except use the standard single gang plastic weatherproof box, paint it flat black and don’t bother with the bird house. There’s one in this old photo, slightly hidden by the Alberta Spruce at bottom left…

It is suspended on a PVC Conduit 45 degree bend - also available at the big box, which is anchored in a little concrete.

Inside are Mini toggles mounted to a Decora blank (filler). I needed to cut the toggle handles short to allow the box cover to close.

I had no troubles with the switches in the 4 or 5 years I used them. They’re are still there but haven’t been used in a long while.

Thanks for responding.
More pics!

Interesting. I have LGB switches and they are right next to the track. How are these so far away?

I’m refuring to electrical switches,to do with frog polarity.
They wouldn’t be on the switch, just near by.
I think I saw some disguised as lineside structures.
