for $325…I coughed and went on my way…now I’m wanting one, esp since I found them for less than $150 on Ebay…

Keep looking on occasions you can get one for under $100 including the shipping.
I have the green one and it is a nice little loco with nice details. It has the newer metal gears which are a bit noisy but not bad outside. I haave only run mine with a couple cars in tow so have never really tested it. The green and the size of the loco doesn’t seem ot lend itself to longer trains.
I would recommend it.

This one is numbered and lettered different than the Lyn, but it’s the same engine. I bought it as a set with a flat car and bobber caboose for $125. I’ve run the heck out of it, but it hasn’t been converted to bat/RC yet so it’s been awhile.

As you can see, the last time it ran was on my old layout.
Make sure it is one of the new versions with metal gears.
There are still a few new/old stock ones floating around.

The newer versions runs great. I have the newer Indy and I am very happy with that.
The only similarity between the 1994-era model and the new one is a passing resemblance, one to the other. The new model is VERY good indeed.

Yes, I’ve vied for the ‘look’ for years, but always passed because of the reputation of the drive. The model I’m interested in is the new re-do…
and I had forgot about the new “Indy”…thanks guys!
Cale-who really doesn’t need another locomotive
Well you know Cale, you can always sell something to buy the new loco. BTW welcome back, it’s good to see you doing another railroad with your kido’s. I always enjoyed watching your threads before you moved.

Ooooo… I’ve not paid enough attention. A great companion to my Porter.

I do now Cale, but most days by this time in the evening I can’t remember what I had for lunch
