I love senior citizens!

A STUNNING SENIOR MOMENT

A very self-important college freshman attending a recent football game, took it upon himse lf to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation.

“You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one,”
the student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. “The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars. We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing, and…” pausing to take another drink of beer.

The Senior took advantage of the break in the student’s litany and said, “You’re right, son. We didn’t have those things when we were young…so WE invented them. Now, you arrogant little s—, what are YOU doing for the next generation?”

The applause from the surrounding crowd was resounding…

To which the student responded:

“working to pay your Social Security, because while y’all were busy inventing all those great things, y’all forgot to balance the friggin’ checkbook!”

Later,

K

Whoa, Kevin. Not all of us forgot to balance the check book. Just the crooks in DC who stole it for their own greedy projects. The rest of us Seniors are watching our money go to Iraq, Africa and other places. My gas has doubled, my groceries are outrageous, my taxes are going up, yet the lying scumbags said my cost of living only went up a couple percent. I know of one Senior who got a $20 increase in SS this year only to have a $40 increase in medicare and co payments…forget the rest of the cost of living. I don’t call that fair and it isn’t us Seniors. The young adults are just as guilty of voting in those scum. If you want benifits that you work for and have earned then we need to vote in politicians that believe in Americans first…not supporters of special interests or war mongers.

An oxymoron!!

It’s always about the money, especially the money that sticks to them and their financial supporters. No “citizen-politicians” around since . . . Well, for quite a long time.

Yep, Politicians are all like Buck Rogers… no Bucks, no Buck Rogers!

Did I miss something?

Never mind, I’m not sure I wanna know.

I’m going to go out and build some sub-roadbed.

Sounds like one of the best reasons yet for the Guvmint to get out of the retirement and medical business...............

They need to get out of the “government business”. The Mafia has a better business model than our government does.

“We have the best government money can buy.” Will Rogers 1930 something

The problem is who is buying them…big business, special interests, Mafia, unions…etc.

Kevin,

The way I see it:

“Collect all the politicians, put them in a very large barrel - doesn’t need to be a pork barrel  - roll them down the hill, the worst will always be on top!”

Oh, on that hill … preferably one with a large body of deep water at the bottom! :frowning:

Hey, we're supposed to be cleaning up the lakes and oceans, not poisoning them further! Besides, don't you know that politicians float?

OK lets make that a body of water with a substantial population of hungry sharks. I know that sounds a lot like cannibalism, but for a change it would be shark eat shark instead of dog eat dog! Oh some of my “best friends” are politicians!

You dare to say that out loud…!!!

Sure.

“best friends” is an euphemism.
