I built a Recovery Dozer from a kids toy

I found this little dozer at my towns swap shop and I knew that it had “good bones”. I was originally planning to clean it up, paint it and set it out somewhere on the RR but then I got to thinking that I always wanted a recovery dozer because they are so cool.
Using scraps I had on hand I got to work. The boom is shorter than I wanted it to be but I had to make sure it would clear the portals on my tunnels when riding on a flat car.
I’m rather pleased with how it turned out. The boom is lowered and the hook raised by using a screwdriver on the winch.

My brother sent me one , it’s real small , but probably far from viewers it might work ok, if not will be a remote control small none rider type

That’s really cool! We have a few toys sitting around that could use a similar second life.

Tractors/Dozers etc… come in all sizes. It is generally the cab of the equipment that tells our brains it is not to scale so if you can remove it that will be a great start to get it to work on the RR.

Thanks Eric. It’s amazing what some add ons and paint can do.
Be sure to post what you and the clan create. :slightly_smiling_face:
