Presumably those would be American ‘dithering old farts’.
Over here in the rest of the world we’ve never heard of them.

You have never heard of Little Anthony and the Imperials? They were one of the best 50-60’s soul groups with other classic hits like Tears On My Pillow, Going Out Of My Head and Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop.

Could have been a zombie on Dave but he looked alive to me.
According to Wiki one of the original Imperials retired a few years ago replaced by someone who had replaced Little Anthony while he persued a solo career for a few years. Besides the one substitution these guys are the original group.
