We got 7 inches of rain so far and it has been a constant 30 mph wind. Flooding and down trees is the biggest issue for us. Winds will pick up some as the storm moves off. Here is a video of flooding on the KMRR. All is well so far. Could sleep last night with the pounding rain and winds.

Sure is windy, not much rain!
Got saw blades all sharpened … do exspect a tree or some big branches to come down with these winds!

Yes, no damage here. They claim about 4 inches of rain. Lots of leaves scattered around, but that’s about it. Looks to be a good week ahead.
Glad to see everyone is in good shape so far. Downgraded to TS, still getting some gusts and ALOT of rain. The reports are about 3 inch so far. Have the saw ready. Kids will probably get 1 more day of summer vacation( they start back tomorrow).
Yea, I’d guess 2-3 inches of rain. Todd, Lunenburg, MA? You’re about 10 miles west of me. Sounds about right for the rain. A few big gusts of wind, some branches down, nothing big yet, but the next 6 hours are going to be interesting.
Looks like the worst is about over here. Lost power about midnite and just got it restored about a half hour ago. Lotta wind, but not much rain. Been up since 2am out on the back porch, keepin an eye on things…fired up a couple kerosene lanterns, so nobody tripped over anything in the dark. For all the hype they gave this thing, didn’t seem like much to me.
So far over 7 inches of rain. This is my creek in my backyard. This is the highest I have ever seen it. It took my bridge out. Photo below is average for the creek (west branch of the Papackating) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rK6giVmvR5Q

I was wondering if any can start checking in, yet? Concerned about Radder and the guys up that way. Delaware River and south should start seeing improvements this morning, I would think.
Good to hear from you Ken. I know they hype the daylights out of these things, but its good for ratings and there are a lot of people involved. Lots of East Coast Coasties are in St. Louis, waiting it out and getting ready to head back this morning. Air Force moved a bunch of stuff inland also.
We are fine here in Western CT. The storm fizzled before it got this far inland. There was never enough wind or rain to wake me up before regular time. We got rain, but only heavy for brief periods. I have not been in the basement yet, but I don’t expect it to be any wetter tan from a normal heavy rain. We still have power.
Supposedly we will get heavy wind on the back side over the next few hours. Not completely out of the woods until about 4PM EDT.
Power juat went out with a transformer explosion down the street. Off line until it gets back.
I went for a drive. Its a mess roads closed floods washouts trees down. A lake down road is about to break through the dam. They r evacuating people along that creek. Not good and delaware river still has to crest tomorrow. I wouldnt be suprise if it hits record flood stage. Still no power. Grrrrrr
Power back on, amazingly. I love having an in-town electric company.
Im stuck home. All roads impasable. Cant get out

You might need to think about some more drainage projects to keep the boys occupied.
deleted, double post.
It just gets worst. Found out our substation is underwater. It will take weeks for them to fix. Power co. is going to try and bring power lines from nearby towns but will take sometime. Grrrrr.
Irene is kicking ours butts here in California. Gas prices UP 10 cents or more due to refineries on the EAST coast not being able to produce ? ? ? Weather here is HOT and 100 degrees today. Boy I hate Hurricanes, . . . .
