Hubley model A Ford

@Joe_Zullo

The before picture:

The Ford recently towed out of the salvage yard and repaired:

Many thanks to Joe and his wife for supplying the re-spoked wheels and fresh rubber.

The engine head and steering wheel were obtained from the 'bay salvage. The head had stripped spark plugs or something and the original steering wheel was fractured. Original paint has held up pretty well so I thought just a clean up will do. Replacement hood now ordered from 'bay salvage, will need a repaint. I have the upper radiator hose and I am working on the fan. Get that done, add coolant and we’re ready for a test ride!

Wayne,
Don’t forget to fill the gas tank!

Car is looking good so far. :+1:

Tell your friends. We have a good supply of wheels and tires in stock.

So I did a search looking for a Hubley metal car forum. No dedicated forums for Hubley, but many posts in different model car forums. Most posts were older but one was only a couple months old, and they were talking about wheels and tires. Mostly they chated about what they were trying to use to replace dried cracked tires. I tried to join, no luck.

Anyway for any Friends here, because one link brought up an old thread here, Joe’s tires and wheels are top shelf!

Joe, my bride ordered more wheels. Going to see if some of the old tires I have stretch on without cracking.

If your bride’s name is Rebecca, the wheels were mailed this morning.

Thanks Joe. The hood arrived from 'bay salvage today. Will need a little body work for a better fit before we carry it to the paint shop.

Also from the 'bay, I received a Hubley 1932 Chevrolet Phaeton and two 1930 Packard Phaetons. The Chevy and 1 Packard are complete, unpainted. The second Packard may lead to some customization!
