How to give Bachamnn's 4-wheel bobber caboose 3-point suspension

Hey Y’all; Just now finally took action on an idea that had been brewing for a while on how to give Bachamnn’s 4-wheel bobber caboose 3-point suspension so it will track (meaning stay on the rails) better. A mostly simple modification to wheel holder at one end will do the job. 1. stock arrangement with no flexibility

  1. remove wheels and metal holder

  1. cut slots in floor and round off middle

  1. attach metal holder with screw in middle

And now axle at one end can rock a bit over uneven rails keeping the hack on the track. And thereby making your Conductor and Rear Brakemen much happier now that their coffee stays in their cups, mostly.

Forrest,
when I compensated my bobbers, I fitted a spring under the centre screw and fitted screws to the outer holes in the wheel mount strap. The screws were not tightened down but left standing high around 0.125" (the holes in the mount were drilled oversize to allow clearance on the screw shanks). This enabled suspension on one axle mount allowing it to rock.

That would be somewaht simpler.
Apparently I just had it in my head to saw holes in the thing.
