Well her stuff was a little more important than my stuff. I had to give in.

Big sisters that hold medical power of attorney can be like that too! What was I thinking?(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif) It’s a long list and she can be so … damn right! Arrgh!
(https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)I am an only child.
I got some good news health-wise for once. Due to a cancellation, my fourth and hopefully final eye surgery, originally set for January 29, has been moved to this Wednesday. My detached retina occurred over Presidents Day weekend and three surgeries and numerous laser treatments later, I may once again have depth perception. As for Miks 2019, bring it on!
as i’m not living in an emancipated society, my wife and daughters don’t tell me what to do.
but when they think, that i have more or less recovered from whatever put me in bed, they start to do what normally would be my chores. coming every ten or fifteen minutes to ask me how to do this, or if that was right.
that game is played, untill i get my behind out of bed, to do it myself.
(their ultimate weapon is to try to set up the three-piece ladder just in front of my window.)

This is very good news.
You have all my sympathy, I hate eye problems ever since I was blind for a week when I was 8.
I had been watching sailors bang tennis balls back and forth through the wooden rafters in the old gym. The one I didn’t see was the one that struck my eye. The next day after a night of headaches and blurry vision, I was on my paper route and at the horspital, I mentioned the hit to a fine navy nurse and my family finished my route as I was put to bed with both eyes bandaged.
I pray for your quick recovery.

Ouch! That hurts just thinking about it! So, I can understand hating eye problems, but what about tennis? LOL

The punchline sez: tennis balls make great dog chews!
I tend to flinch a lot, dodging anything that comes near. Did cause problems on the rifle range, eyes would snap shut as I pulled the trigger!(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

That wasn’t eye problems but fear of recoil. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Maybe, but knowing when I blink otherwise, I doubt it … but you are right, it wasn’t an eye problem, but rather my new reflex was is to close my eyes.
